The bad news is that evil exists.

The good news is that even if you grow up in an entirely secular house, you can learn how to spot it.

And it’s important that you do. Movies have thoroughly warned us what happens to people who focus only on what’s logical. Ignore your own instincts and your primal recognition of evil at your own peril.

TV got in on the action too. Buffy. Supernatural. They all told you. Don’t knock on the devil’s door and be surprised he answers.

The X-Files episode "Die Hand Die Verletzt," is just one instance of supernatural and paranormal fiction demonstrating the downside of making a deal with the devil and I made a video about it.
